The Glass Ceiling

The Glass Ceiling: 1+11+9 (January 11, 2009)

Kids imagine the glass ceiling’s a car

Imagine we throwing rocks at crack heads

It’s too high up, I just can’t throw that far

Don’t give up on yo’ dreams, go back to bed

Objects in mirror are closer than they …

Appear, run up the wall, touch the ceiling

Kids put yo’ fingerprints on the glass … play!

The rocks on the floor are really building

The mountain’s the elephant in the room

The walls ain’t closing in on us, look look!

Together we can lift and throw it … boom!

Nobody moves like there’s gum on their foot

Who’s gonna sweep all this glass that’s fallin’?

Ain’t know a mirror was made for walkin’
